On the occasion of World Cancer Awareness Day 2015 and in keeping with the theme of cancer awareness month, the State Bank of India, Local Head Office, North Eastern Region, Guwahati in association with Sreemanta Sankar Mission of Guwahati, organised a day long Health Mela at the Nizdala Village, Kalaigaon under Udalguri District on 05/02/2015.

The camp saw participation of doctors and medical staff from the B. Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati, the Gauhati Lon Eye Hospital and also from the National Health Mission, Udalguri. Around 500 families were benefited by the initiative. The participating doctors examined, offered free counselling, consultation and free medicines were also distributed among the patients.
