Assam experienced its worst flood ever in the year 2022. According to a statement from the Central Water Commission, eight rivers were flowing over high flood levels in June, and three rivers are flowing above the danger level. In recent days, landslides have also been recorded in Dima-Hasao, Goalpara, Morigaon, Kamrup, and Kamrup (M). Bajali, Baksa, Barpeta, Cachar, Chirang, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Nalbari, Sonitpur, South Salmara, Tamulpur, and Udalguri districts were among those with the most flood damage.
